Swap User Guide

Swap lets two users trade assets directly — cards, other NFTs, and tokens — in a single agreed exchange. Both sides deposit what they're offering into escrow, both approve, and the trade settles atomically.

Getting started

To start a swap you'll need:

  • A Collector Crypt account with a connected wallet
  • The assets you want to trade
  • The counterparty's wallet address, email, or .sol domain
  • A small amount of SOL for network fees

Starting a swap

  1. Open Swap and choose Create Swap.
  2. Enter who you're trading with — by wallet address, by email, or by .sol (Solana Name Service) domain.
  3. Confirm to create the swap.

If you invite someone by email who isn't on Collector Crypt yet, an invitation is sent so they can join and open the swap.

Adding assets

  1. Add the cards, NFTs, and tokens you're offering to the swap.
  2. Each asset you add is deposited into escrow — it leaves your wallet and is held by the program for the trade.
  3. The other party adds their assets the same way.

Take your time here: the swap only reflects what both sides have deposited, so review the full trade before moving on.

Approving

Once both sides have added their assets, each party approves the swap to confirm they're happy with the trade as it stands.

If either side adds or removes assets after approving, the approvals reset — both parties re-approve so no one is ever bound to a trade that changed after they agreed.

Completing the swap

After both parties have approved, each party executes the swap. When both have executed, the assets are exchanged and the swap completes — each side receives the assets the other deposited.

Cancelling and withdrawing

At any point before the swap executes, either party can cancel it.

After a swap is cancelled — or if the other party never completes it — withdraw your deposited assets to return them to your wallet.

Safety tips

  • Assets move into escrow the moment you add them — always review the complete trade before approving or executing.
  • You can cancel and withdraw any time before the swap executes; after both parties execute, the exchange is final.
  • Double-check the counterparty's wallet address or .sol domain before creating a swap.
  • Only execute once both sides' assets match exactly what you agreed to.
